Från och med årsskiftet bekostar biblioteket open accesspublicering i majoritet av förlagets tidskrifter – både i rena open accesstidskrifter och hybridtidskrifter. LiU-forskare kan alltså publicera sig fritt hos förlaget utan att betala en krona.

All articles in NJVET are open access and there are no submission charges or charges for article processing. NJVET is included in DOAJ, the Directory of Open Access Journals. The Library has agreements with a number of publishers that cover the costs for LiU authors when publishing Open Access in hybrid journals (linked below). These so-called transformative agreements begin a long-term transformation from hybrid journals to pure Open Access journals. There are also non-transformative hybrid journals.
