With Valve shutting down OPSkins, they should improve the Community Market. As someone who used OP a bit, it sucks to see them go but it leaves an opportunity to improve the SCM service. 15% is quite a tax to take, especially since you can't withdraw the money.

Valve has shut down all bots operated by online skin marketplace service OPSkins, as a result of OPSkins developing a workaround to Valve’s seven-day trading cooldown for its digital items. Many other services were using OPSkins’ workaround to operate, effectively neutralizing Valve’s effort to regulate the skin marketplace. The digital item service industry has been […]

To everybody picknicking right now, keep in mind THAT THERE ARE OTHER CASHOUT SITES ASWELL, WHICH ARE FINE Very bizarre that Valve sent a cease and desist letter to OPSkins in Twitter DMs, telling them to completely shut down any bussiness affiliated with Steam it Counter Strike Blog: http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/expresstrade/OPSkins: https://opskins.com/Steam Blog: https://store.steampowered.com/news/?feed Edit 2: i dont think opskins will go down but there is a uncertainty which makes people nervous and increases the crash.

Valve has shut down the trading bots for one such company, OPSkins, after claiming it was using its intellectual property and violating the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

OPSkins will most likely shut down. Since the Valve statement said that you cant be using Steam accounts for commercial use (as the OPSkins bot does), it will most likely close operations.
